Cyndi Lauper is going to be honored by the US government for her support of the LGBT community!

Specifically, the US Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration is honoring her for co-founding the True Colors Fund, which encourages people of all sexual orientations to help the LGBT community.

She's going to be given the prize by the US Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius on National Children's Mental Health Awareness Day in Washington, D.C. on May 9.

So not only is she a timeless singer, she also is a fighter for human rights!

LBGT issues aren't only for the LGBT community, they affect everyone so her trying to involve people of all sexual orientations is a great step froward towards widespread tolerance.

You go, Cyndi!

Seems like everyone lately is getting the chance to work with their favorite late great artists!

Selena Gomez, named after the Latin star Selena, recently got to record with the late singer on her tribute album, Enamorada De Ti!

Gomez joined the Queen of Tejano on one of her biggest and most famous hits, Bidi Bidi Bom Bom, on the album released earlier this month!!!

Take a listen to the AHmazing duet (above)!!!!

What an honor!

Selenita spoke on recording the duet recently, revealing:

“When I went into the studio to record they actually had her vocals in the booth that she was in, so I felt like she was singing right next to me. It gave me chills! It was incredible and it was a great experience and it was a great song."

Though sadly, Gomez and Selena Quintanilla never actually got to work together (Selena was tragically murdered in 1995, Gomez was born in ‘92), Selenita is getting praise for the duet by one of the late singer’s closest relatives -- her brother.

A.B. Quintanilla said:

"She did an amazing job. I had the opportunity to talk to her, we did some awards together and I had never met her before in person. And I took the opportunity to go say hello to her. And I want to thank her for coming onto the album."

The late superstar's brother also expressed in a recent interview that he would love to work with Gomez on her Spanish album, which she is currently planning on recording!

How exciting!!!

We can't wait for Selenita's Spanish album and are SO happy that she got to be involved in honoring the legacy of the Latin sensation.

We miss you, Selena...siempre!

The untimely death of Whitney Houston hit the world pretty hard, but perhaps ONE of the people affected most was singer Brandy.

In VH1's episode of Behind The Music airing tomorrow, the show gives a glimpse at the life and career of Brandy and just how special Whitney was to her.

The episode also covers other tough times for the singer and actress, including her unhappy teen years and the fatal car crash back in 2006.

Check out the sneak peek of Brandy's episode (above)!

The songbird is preparing for the release of her SIXTH album, Two Eleven, out this June and has come such a long way since starting out so young!

Tune in to VH1 tomorrow at 9pm for the full episode!!

Raven-Symone has definitely come a long way since The Cosby Show and That's So Raven!

The TV star turned Broadway actress-singer has been WOWING crowds after scoring the lead role in Sister Act!!!

Raven plays the role of Deloris Van Cartier, Whoopi Goldberg’s character in the 90s flick! Symone took up the role on March 27, previously played by Patina Miller.

Check out the FIRST footage of Raven hitting up the Broadway stage (above)!!!

Gurl looks AHmazing! We are SO proud of her!!!

We CANNOT wait to see more of Raven on Broadway!!!

Looks like singer Sinéad O'Connor won’t be heading back on tour next month, after all.

Back in January, the Irish singer was admitted to the hospital for depression after splitting from her husband and has been having a pretty tough time these past few months.

O’Connor announced her ENTIRE 2012 tour’s cancellation on her website, writing:

"With enormous regret I must announce that I have to cancel all touring for the year as am very unwell due to bi polar disorder. As you all know I had a very serious breakdown between December and March and I had been advised by my doctor not to go on tour but didn't want to 'fail' or let anyone down as the tour was already booked to coincide with album release. So very stupidly I ignored his advice to my great detriment, attempting to be stronger than I actually am. I apologise sincerely for any difficulties this may cause."

So sad to hear!!!

Gurl, you’ve got to take care of yourself, first!

We’re sure her fans will remain by her side during this tough time and hope they understand!

We hope she gets well soon and puts herself AND her health as her top priority!

This girl is about to blow your shiz UP!

Azealia Banks is a rising rap/singer SUPERstar who has been in the biz for a while, but has only recently been getting some MAJOR buzz.

She performed this past weekend at Coachella, and JUST switched management the people who rep Lady Gaga!

AND she’s about to collaborate with Hip Hop EMPRESS Missy Elliot!

The nast-ay singer hailing from NYC tweeted:

@MissyElliott and I are working together. Y'all m'fkkahs r SERIOUSLY NOT READY FOR THIS.

Her song 212 - which sings about a certain lady part getting eaten - has over 11 million (!) hits on the ‘Tube and she has worked with mix-man Diplo on bumpin' track F*** Up The Fun.

We are VERY intrigued about this girl’s future!

Are you rootin’ for Azealia?

Taylor Swift...pop country superstar and...folk singer?

Looks like Taylor may be hopping in a Big Yellow Taxi, headed for the silver screen!

Reportedly, Swifty is eyeing up the role of Joni Mitchell in the film adaptation of the book, Girls Like Us by Sheila Weller!

Though Taylor has already gotten her feet wet appearing in the rom-com Valentine’s Day along with every other celeb back in 2010, this would be her FIRST time taking on a dramatic role!

Girls Like Us will feature a look inside the life and career of Joni Mitchell, along with fellow singers, Carly Simon and Carole King!!

No official offer is on the table yet for Taylor, but other actresses have already been auditioning to take up the roles of Simon and King.

The film, though not yet greenlit, is hoping to plan filming around the three leads’ schedules later this year.

Wow, this would definitely be something new for Taylor!!! We could definitely see her playing Joni!

U be the judge!

Despite hinting toward leaving the show last fall, Gary Barlow is, in fact, returning to judge the next season of X Factor UK.

The Take That singer had told sources he was "taking some time off next year" to spend time with his family, but most recently confirmed his return by saying:

“I’m thrilled to be back and really looking forward to working with The X Factor team again. The fact that a superstar could just walk out on that stage is very exciting.”

The next superstar may have already been discovered too! The open auditions for the UK reality show have already begun to take place with Barlow on board.

Well, Christina Aguilera sure LOVES her coworkers!

The singer and The Voice mentor revealed that her upcoming seventh album will feature a collaboration with her co-mentor, Cee-lo Green!

Xtina already hooked up with Adam Levine on Moves Like Jagger and now, her track with Cee-lo will be called Make The World Move, which Christina calls “fun, positive and full of life.”

She’s just movin’ all over the place nowadays!!

Christina dished:

"I'm just excited to share the stage with Cee Lo because we both get off on production and dancers and having all fun elements about being on stage and being a performer. The two of us together joining forces is going to be huge!"

The new album will be out later this year, which she previously promised will be of high-quality production!

It’s a family affair, over there at The Voice! Ha!

Hey, what about Blake?!?
