No surprises here, given the fact that the original Waiting to Exhale soundtrack is topping the music charts!

Back in May, we were pleased to hear that a Waiting to Exhale sequel was happening, and that the entire original cast would be returning.

Now, Fox has announced that they'll still be moving forward with the Exhale sequel, even though Whitney Houston has passed away.

Here's what Fox 2000 Pictures president Elizabeth Gabler had to say about why the studio isn't axing the sequel:

"I don’t think she would want it to. It’s almost in her honor that we think to soldier on."

And here's more from Gabler on replacing Whitney in the movie:

"We literally have not talked about anybody for that part. Forest, I know, is just...grieving. He’d been the one who was speaking with her, updating [Houston] on its progress."

We just hope that the studio puts A LOT of care into this movie. Whoever replaces Whitney in her role will have some HUUUUGE shoes to fill.

What do U think? Should they still make this sequel without Whitney???

We're amazed and impressed by his strength.

Last night, Nick Carter returned to the stage and performed a show at NYC's Irving Plaza.

During the show, he dedicated his song Falling Down (above) to his sister Leslie Carter, who passed away earlier this week at the age of 25.

A truly moving and lovely performance. Leslie would be proud.

Celeb death hoaxes are fun... until a Kardashian gets hurt!

Last night tweeters around the world mad #Cher a trending topic, after one user tweeted a fake CNN story claiming the the 65-year-old singer passed away.

Less than an hour after the original "RIP Cher" was posted, Kim Kardashian was freaking out.

The reality star has over 12 million flowers, so when she asked:

"Did I just hear Cher has passed away? Is this real? OMG."

Over 12 million people started asking the same thing. The affect wasn't quite the same as Orson Welles' War of the Worlds radio show, HOWEVER people did lose their shit thinking Cher gone.

Kim "investigatory journalist" Kardshian did some digging and discovered elaborate joke. She told her millions:

"Can't believe people would make up a sick joke like Cher died. These people need to get a life! Thanks Twitter for clearing that up!"

There you have it!

Cher is alive, despite the fact that she hasn't posted on Twitter since last week.

Shame. We're sure he had so much more to share.

Shortly after the Oscar nominees were announced yesterday, Greek award-winning film director Theo Angelopoulos was in a terrible accident in Athens, Greece. The 77-year-old filmmaker behind such beloved pictures as "Palme d'Or" and the 1998 Cannes Film Festival for "Eternity and a Day" was hit by a motorcycle while crossing a street near the set of his latest film, "The Other Sea."

He sadly sustained far worse head injuries than he could ever recover from and passed away in the hospital last night.

Very sad. He was a true artist and we're sure his loss is felt by all those in the film community. Our condolences go out to his family, friends and fans who will miss him dearly.

In 2008, Beyonce gave one of her most important performances to date, starring in Cadillac Records as the iconic Etta James. Today, Bey has a heavy heart but words of praise for the woman she portrayed, who sadly passed away today.

On her website (as she still resting from giving birth to baby Blue Ivy), she posted sweet words of tribute to the eternally great Etta James," who died today due to complications with her leukemia.

She wrote:

"This is a huge loss. Etta James was one of the greatest vocalists of our time. I am so fortunate to have met such a queen. Her musical contributions will last a lifetime."

They surely will!

Her passing is felt by all, but more by those who were really inspired by her talent and music in their day-to-day routines. We know that she holds a very dear place in Beyonce's heart and we hope she carries on her spirit with her own music.

Pearl Jam takes care of their fans, and if the constant live albums and battles with ticketmaster didn't prove it, this story will.

For Christmas this year, the band replaced a stolen autographed guitar for a family -- the family of a fan who had passed away.

The story goes like this:

In 1992 the band gave 17-year-old fan Josh Hardy a signed Fender guitar while he was dying of brain cancer. After he passed away, it went to his brother. Fast forward a bit, and the brother is now 34. The guitar was then stolen from Ben's home this month. He DID get the guitar back, but the autographs were gone in an attempt to sell the stolen instrument.

The band heard the story and shipped Ben a package. It was a brand new guitar, complete with all the band members signatures!!

Here's what the family had to say:

"In a note Pearl Jam said they've been following the story and this is what they decided to do. It's an amazing gesture of goodwill. It exceeds expectations ... They went above and beyond."

"It's a blessing for our family to have all this happen. This is our Christmas story. Pearl Jam is amazing and to think that they remembered Josh after all these years is incredible."

This is so sweet that we're speechless!

It proves a couple of things for sure: Pearl Jam is incredibly rad. Thieves are dicks.

We're just so happy it worked out for Ben and his family!

Grammy award-winning singer, Cesaria Evora, has passed away at the age of 70.

Known as the 'Barefoot Diva,' she won a Grammy in 2003 after introducing her African islands music to venues all over the world.

There isn't much know as to how and why she passed, but we do know she went while she died in the Baptista de Sousa Hospital in Mindelo, on her native island of Sao Vicente in Cape Verde. So we're glad she was home.

She hadn't been in the best of health for quite some time, having had open heart surgery just last year.

We extend our condolences -- her music and voice were truly beautiful!

According to Brittany Murphy's mom, the house Brittany was living in was responsible for her death.

And the death of her son-in-law as well. The culprit in the house? Toxic mold.

If you don't remember, Brittany sadly passed away in 2009 from pneumonia -- and then her husband died of the same thing about 5 months later.

The mom, Sharon Murphy, would love to sue the builders of the house as they're to blame for the mold problems, but says she was tricked by her lawyers into giving up her rights to sue the builders for wrongful death!

She accepted a settlement back in January for construction defects, and by doing so lost the right to go after them. She says that she had no idea she wouldn't be able to do that once she got the settlement.

She's now suing her lawyers for malpractice and wants them to pay what she could have won in that legal battle!

This IS pretty messed up, and someone should definitely be punished for the loss of two lives like this! Terrible!
