What makes people think that they just ignore the law - especially in these cases?

Pauley Perrette, whom many may recognize from NCIS, has maintained a restraining order against her ex-husband, Coyote Shivers, since their divorce since 2006, and apparently, she has good reason!

The musician/actor has been charged with violating the court order and because he's already on probation for sending Pauley's lawyer harassing e-mails, he now faces up to 18 months in jail!

Well, apparently it's about time!

He's been declared a vexatious litigant by the state of California since 2008, which basically means he abuses the court system by filing so many meritless motions and is essentially enough of nuisance to be sanctioned!

Yeesh! He's certainly come a long way since Empire Records! Ha!

But hopefully now this poor woman can be left alone! It's about time!

Last week, retired actress Amanda Bynes was arrested by police here in LA on charges of driving under the influence after she clipped a cop car on her way home from a hotel bar. The following night, just hours after she bailed herself out of jail, Amanda tried to return to the very same hotel bar for another night of partying but was turned away at the door by security. Today we are hearing from her father Rick Bynes regarding his daughter’s arrest. Daddy Bynes is claiming that not only was Amanda not drunk when she was arrested but she “doesn’t drink” at all. Uh huh. Right.

“She was not drunk,” Rick Bynes tells PEOPLE. “I was told that she blew a zero on the Breathalyzer. She didn’t have a single drink that night. My daughter doesn’t drink.” Rick Bynes claims the the cop who arrested Amanda, 26, was at fault for pulling out in front of the actress as she was turning at the West Hollywood intersection where she was cited. Rick adamantly says his daughter was not impaired, explaining that she was arrested because “she was upset and very emotional.” Adding that Amanda was released with no bail, Rick went on to say, “She is a good girl. She just chooses not to work, and because of that, people go after her.” PEOPLE confirmed that Bynes was at L.A.’s Greystone Manor Supperclub Thursday night before she was cited for investigation of DUI. She was held overnight at the West Hollywood Sheriff’s department’s station, and while authorities would not comment on the actress’s specific case, according to the West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station website, “if the offense is alcohol or drug related, the suspect will stay at the sheriff’s station until he or she can safely care for himself or herself.” Bynes was released with the citation and will have to show up in court when a date is set.

Firstly, this really should come as no surprise. A father coming to a daughter’s defense is exactly what you might expect from a situation like this. Secondly, I do think Daddy Bynes is sorely mistaken about people “going after” his daughter because she “chooses not to work”. Before her arrest, I can’t think of a single person who even uttered the name “Amanda Bynes” for the past couple of years. Thirdly, People claims that Amanda was at the Supperclub on the night she was arrested … and TMZ claims she was at The Standard Hotel. It’s possible that she was partying at both places and decided to get behind the wheel of her car while drunk. It’s also very possible that she was not drunk at all and is just a really bad driver. It remains to be seen how all of this will play out. Without evidence (ie. no damning breathalyzer test), it’s unlikely that Amanda Bynes will be prosecuted. No matter what happens to her legally, I really hope this incident will be a wake-up call … not only for her but for others. Drunk Driving is dangerous, reckless, selfish and potentially deadly. I always hope these high-profile arrests will inspire others to make better choices. Sadly, I fear these incidents usually tend to fall on deaf ears.

It’s been reported that shortly after Amanda Bynes got busted for DUI in Hollywood last Thursday, she tried to keep the party going hours later!!

Sources say that Amanda and her friends tried to RETURN to The Standard hotel’s nightclub on Friday night but were turned away by the doorman!

Ouch!

Seems as though the hotel didn’t want to have ANY association with Amanda after her arrest the night before and we don’t blame them!

Amanda and her friends are said to have left the hotel without causing a scene.

We hope she’s learned her lesson!

Last Friday we learned the disappointing news that former actress Amanda Bynes was arrested for driving under the influence after she left a hotel bar and then crashed her car into a police car. Today we learn that Amanda, just hours after she was bailed out of jail, tried to go back to the very same hotel bar where she was partying before she got arrested and was turned away from entry by security. Clearly, the hotel bar did NOT want to be associated with Amanda‘s reckless behavior … much to her chagrin.

Amanda Bynes tried to return to the Hollywood bar scene the night after her DUI bust … but the hotel where she boozed Thursday wanted nothing to do with her and kicked her to the curb … TMZ has learned. Multiple sources tell us … Bynes and some friends tried to enter the hotel bar at The Standard Hotel on Sunset Blvd. on Friday night … but the doorman refused to let the actress inside. We’re told hotel staff members were aware Bynes had been drinking at the nightclub at The Standard on Thursday evening … hours before her DUI arrest … and didn’t want to be associated with the actress in case she pulled a repeat performance. Sources say Bynes and her friends left the hotel without incident.

While I am not at ALL surprised that the hotel decided to turn Amanda away at the door, I’m quite surprised that she was ready to go partying again soon after her arrest. It seems horribly idiotic to not only return to the scene of the crime but to return to the same behavior that got her into trouble in the first place. She couldn’t just drink with her friends at home? Beyond that, she couldn’t go to another bar, another hotel to party? It doesn’t seem to make any sense. I just hope Amanda Bynes realizes the seriousness of her behavior. Putting other people’s lives in jeopardy by drunk diving is no joking matter. I’d hate to see her continue with this kind of reckless and moronic behavior.

Bunny bust!

Joshua Lee Bolling, a costumed Easter Bunny, was arrested in a Danville, Virginia mall last Thursday for illegal possession of prescription pills WHILE he was performing for kids.

Employees at the mall alerted the authorities when they noticed the 24-year-old was acting strangely during breaks, but luckily, he was able to keep his composure in front of the children waiting to get their pic with him.

In an effort to spare the imagination of the kids in attendance, the man was escorted away from the scene before being placed under arrest...in his bunny outfit.

Needless to say, this is one holiday this guy will never forget. Hopefully the arrest will force him to ditch the pills and get his act together.

Earlier today we learned that retired actress Amanda Bynes was arrested late last night here in LA on charges of driving under the influence. As you may recall, Amanda was taken into police custody after she clipped a police car while allegedly intoxicated. Right now, we get to see just released new photos of Amanda as she made her way out of the police station where she was being held. Right now, Amanda Bynes is free.

As I understand it, bail was set at $5000 and I’m certain Amanda posted bail and got out as quickly as possible. Unfortch for her, it wasn’t quick enough to avoid detection by the press. As you can see, Amanda is hiding her face in shame as she is being driven away from the police station … and rightly so, IMHO. It is terribly dangerous and offensive for someone to get behind the wheel of a car and drive drunk OR under the influence of some other substance. Amanda Bynes has not yet been found guilty of any crime but if she is found guilty, I think she should be punished severely. All drunk drivers should be punished severely. Not only do they put their own lives at risk with their heinous behavior but they risk the lives of other innocent drivers who happen to be on the road at the same time. Shame indeed.

Amanda Bynes was arrested early this morning after allegedly hitting a police car while drunk behind the wheel, subsequently booked on DUI charges, and until recently, was stuck behind bars!

Back in June of 2010, actress Amanda Bynes decided to retire from acting at the tender age of 24. Some folks have been wondering what Amanda has been up to since that fateful day when she decided to deny the world access to her acting prowess. Except for sharing a few photos on Twitter, Amanda has stayed pretty much out of the spotlight. On any given weekend, you could find Ms. Bynes at a Hollywood party or at a concert with her friends … or partying it up at one of Hollywood’s hot spots. Last night, Amanda was allegedly partying so much that she made the dangerous decision to drive home while impaired. Along the way, she hit a police car and was arrested for driving under the influence. Amanda Bynes got busted, y’all.

Amanda Bynes was arrested for DUI in West Hollywood early this morning … TMZ has learned. Law enforcement sources tell us Bynes was attempting to pass a cop car … when she sideswiped the vehicle. She was pulled over and cops determined she was not fit to be behind the wheel. We’re told the 26-year-old actress was busted at 3 AM … she’s still behind bars. According to her booking sheet, Bynes is 5’7″ and 125 lbs. Her bail has been set at $5,000. Bynes has been frequenting the Hollywood party scene recently, frequenting several clubs over the last few weeks. Just last month — on St. Patrick’s Day — TMZ cameras saw Bynes leaving Greystone Manor, and thought she appeared to be extremely intoxicated. One of our cameramen even warned the valet not to let Amanda drive, but she got into the driver’s seat anyway … and took off

A week before that, Amanda bolted from a cop while he was writing her a ticket. She was pulled over for talking on a cell phone, and while the cop was writing her up … she drove away. Amanda later swung by the police station and signed the ticket. So far, she hasn’t faced additional charges stemming from that incident.

Yikes! In the past few years, I’ve run into Amanda Bynes at parties or at concerts and I can confirm that, most times, she appeared to be having a good time with her friends (her all-girl posse that David and I call the Bynettes). It’s really unfortunate that Amanda has, apparently, been tempting fate by getting behind the wheel of her care while allegedly under the influence of alcohol … or whatever. It sounds like Amanda was going to keep doing this sort of irresponsible thing until she either hurt herself or someone else … thankfully, it sounds like the only thing hurt this time was the police car she clipped. Now that Lindsay Lohan is walking the straight and narrow, is it possible that Amanda Bynes might become Hollywood’s new trainwreck? I certainly hope not … but, getting arrested with her first DUI has put her on that path. Sad.

Puddle of Mudd frontman Wes Scantlin is in some major legal trouble!

The rock star had been pulled over and arrested in January for driving under the influence of a controlled substance, which they found in the car. The El Lay District Attorney has formally filed the charges and that substance turned out to be cocaine.

On top of the drug charges, Scantlin has been charged with being under the influence of a controlled substance and driving without a license. He has pled not guilty, but if convicted, he could receive up to 4.5 years in jail.

Whatever the verdict, we think someone needs rehab so they can get back in Control of their life!

Former star of That 70's Show, Lisa Robin Kelly, who played Eric Forman's sister on the long running sitcom, was arrested early Sunday morning for a felony charge of corporal injury upon a spouse. Wow!

Kelly was busted at 12:50 AM on Sunday by the Los Angeles Police Department who have set Kelly's bail for $50,000. That's a lot of cheddar!

This isn't Kelly's first time dealing with the law, as she was arrested back in 2010 for a DUI in North Carolina. Welcome back to our Mugshot Hall of Fame, Kelly!

No comment yet from Kelly or any of her reps, but here's hoping Kelly didn't commit the awful crime they are claiming she did.
