Wowsa! Rupert Murdoch's name is truly becoming synonymous with scandal!
Last year, we heard ALL ABOUT a large scale phone-hacking scandal, which resulted in a bunch of arrests of former employees of Murdoch's News of the World publication!
Earlier this week, Murdoch and his British newspaper company sent out 35 settlement checks, including a check for $200K to Jude Law, who had been kept under tight surveillance for quite some time.
Now, we've learned that FOUR current and FOUR former journalists from Rupert Murdoch's publication The Sun have been arrested "on suspicion of bribing the police."
Some of the arrested men have been identified as:
- Former managing editor Graham Dudman
- Former deputy editor Fergus Shanahan
- Current head of news Chris Pharo
- Crime editor Mike Sullivan
Here's what Murdoch's company News Corp. had to say about the investigation:
"News Corporation made a commitment last summer that unacceptable news gathering practices by individuals in the past would not be repeated."
We're just glad to see that the guilty parties are continuing to pay for their gross invasions of privacy!
Actions have consequences, Murdoch and co! Don't U forget that!
