Utah's Republican Senator Orrin Hatch thinks the rich has already done enough to help the nation's debt, and it's time for the poor to help.

Hatch's comments (watch above) were in opposition of a motion that passed 74 to 22. Said motion will begin the debate on whether or not there should be a non-binding resolution demanding millionaires and billionaires to play a better role in reducing the country's debt.

Hatch believes the wealthy pay too much in taxes, even though their tax rates have been at modern lows since the Bush administration cut them down back in 2001 and 2003.

In his mind, the middle and lower classes should pay more even if they don't have more to give.

During his comments, he said he wished he could really let go on Obama but wouldn't because he likes him personally.

Well, at least he pulled back on going all middle school on our president. That's somewhat of a start right?

What do U think of his comments?
