Take a sigh of relief, MJ fans - your voices have been heard.
Yesterday, it was announced that the Discovery Channel had plans to run a special in the UK featuring a reenactment of Michael Jackson's autopsy. Plans for the special have now been scrapped, due to the backlash from fans and pleas from the Jackson estate.
A rep from the network released a statement to sources confirming the decesion, stating:
"Given the commencement of legal proceedings beginning next week, and at the request of Michael Jackson's estate, the scheduled broadcast of the medical documentary related to Michael Jackson's official autopsy has been postponed indefinitely."
It's for the best. The whole thing was in poor taste and we can only imagine the kind of pain it would have inflicted on his family.
Just let the man rest in peace already.

Um, we don't think so.
Music producer Polow Da Don has come out and responded to Chris Brown's recent feud with former B2K member, Raz B, claiming that Chris is "a victim."
Polow, who says he loves Chris like a little brother, as well as a best friend, explains that Chris shouldn't have responded to Raz B in the first place.
He continued:
"I think he never should have responded, number 1. But, he’s 21-years-old, um, he knows the world was watching… it was his natural instinct to respond. I actually hit him after it kept going on and on. I said, ‘yo, you made your point. You need to kill it, bro. It’s going to turn into something, and you’re going in a positive direction now. So don’t play into it anymore.
He’s a victim. That’s how I look at it. If you look at anybody who’s been in the spotlight since he was a child, they have… difficulties in life because they have to grow up in front of everybody, you know?"
Chris Brown may be young, but he's not a victim. We're not sure if we agree with Polow on this one.
Thoughts??

Major Layoffs At MySpace!

This is awful to hear, especially at the start of a new year.
Sources are reporting that MySpace, which has been struggling for awhile now to compete with other social networking sites, may have plans to layoff off a significant amount of its staff - half of them, to be exact.
We're hearing that as much as 50 percent of the 1,100 employees at Myspace could be let go. Most of those folks are based in the U.S., but are also some international offices that could get hit.
But even with the layoffs, the company still finds itself in a lot of trouble. Its recent redesign to an "entertainment hub" hasn't faired as well as they would have liked, so now, there is major talk about selling the company all together.
Such a pity. All those poor, hardworking people with no jobs. Shame.
Maybe in 1998 honey, but not anymore.
At a concert in Williamsburg, New York earlier this week, Lauryn Hill made fans wait three hours at a concert before finally gracing the audience with her presence.
Her keyboard player taped a sign on his kit that read, "I Was On Time," while two fans in the front row held up signs saying, "You Just Lost One" and "This Is Insulting."
Ouch.
Lauryn responded to the fans' disappointment saying she was "worth the wait" and motioned for them to leave the club.
Watch the rest of her response (above).
What do U think? Worth the wait? Or waste of time?

But according to sources, they are keeping things "casual."
Word is that Jenny McCarthy will be ringing in the New Year with a new man, as sources say she has been quietly dating entertainment-sports attorney Paul Krepelka for a little while now.
The insider would only fess up that they've been on a "couple" of dates, but insists it isn't anything too serious yet.
Hopefully this means she's getting one major smooch at midnight tonight! WooHoo!

Feel the love!
Alicia Keys and her husband Swizz Beatz were spotted out shopping last night in St. Barths. The pair enjoyed checking out the goodies at Gustavia and when they left, Alicia even stopped to take a picture with a fan!
So sweet!
Check out more pics of the faboosh couple getting their shop on below!
Say! Where's your little guy? You two didn't leave him at home, did you?

The big guys are coming to town! Let's hope their money time is well spent!
According to a production spokesman, Julie Taymor will be joined by Bono and The Edge at all of next week's preview performances for Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark. As the director and composers, respectfully, its important for them to be there in order to see if the show needs anymore fine-tuning. The spokesman explains:
“Julie and Bono and Edge…will be in the theater next week and for all of the preview performances leading up to the opening night working on the show.”
The spokesman added that the opening date is still officially Feb. 7, 2011 and considering recent events involving cast members being severely injured, there are already changes being made to the production without Bono & The Edge having seen it.
No specifics were given on what kind of changes are being considered so far, but when the topic of last week's catastrophe was brought up, all the spokesman would say is that the team isn't letting the accident stop them from continuing with the show. He added:
"If anything, this has created a [sense of] solidarity.”
All for one and we hope there's enough medics for all!
We kid, we kid. It's horrible what happened, but they were accidents. We're sure every precaution is being considered to ensure the safety of everyone involved.

As the final hours of 2010 slowly slip away there is one thing that we can be sure of … Nicole Snooki Polizzi is ready for her midnight ball drop tonight. Snooki rehearsed the big event in Seaside Heights, NJ last night so that every detail could be worked out before she does the real ball drop tonight. And you thought hamsters had all the fun.

With her chubby cheeks and penchant for leopard print there is something rather animal-like about Snooki. So how fitting that the Jersey Shore star chose to welcome in 2011 ‘like a fricken’ hamster’ inside a giant ball. The pint-sized reality star clutched one of her favourite beers as she was lowered into a crowd in New Jersey. Despite her furry coat Snooki – real name Nicole Polizzi – looked to be shivering, perhaps feeling the effects of the snow still heaped on the ground. The 23-year-old was originally due to perform her stunt as part of the official New Years Eve celebrations in Times Square. But a delay in applying, along with some objections, meant the permit was rejected … Luckily Seaside Heights stepped in to host the celebration. Snooki tweeted to her fans: ‘Don’t worry, I’m still gonna be your fricken’ NYE hamster in a ball.’
Now THIS is a classy way to welcome the new year, don’t you think? Despite the obvs cheesiness, I do admit that this Snooki Ball Drop looks kinda fun. I’m glad the event was moved from NYC to NJ because, in all honesty, no other place on Earth is better suited for a spectacle like this. Nothing says Happy New Year like Snooki in a big plastic ball! Bring on 2011, already! Happy New Year!!

Here we go again.
Another celeb has used Twitter to display some pretty ignorant and, in our opinion, homophobic remarks.
New Orleans Saints NFL player Reggie Bush posted this question on his Twitter:
If someone says "no homo," is that offensive towards gay people?
Really?! REALLY?!
He then went on to add:
And only reason I asked was because it's become a pretty popular phrase. I just wondered what the general feeling was from people about it
I'm offending people by asking? Lol! C'Mon Son! Missed me with that one! People way too sensitive these days. SMH!
It's not unreasonable for people to be "sensitive" to a clearly homophobic remark such as "no homo."
Come on, Reggie, please tell us you know better than that.
